I’m honored to have "Thank U, Alanis" published on Dandelion Revolution Press as part of their “Because of Her” series, "personal essays about women in the public sphere who have shaped us, challenged our perspectives, sharpened our voices, and how they now affect our everyday life. This essay series is a space to honor the women who, in both the big ways and small, made us who we are."

I am overjoyed to share that “In the Trenches” is featured in the spring issue of Phil Lit Journal. The theme is “A Question of Care; Ethics, empathy, and the burden of tenderness”. My essay reveals the heart-opening and heartbreaking journey of teaching in the late 1980’s. Since then, the teaching profession has become even more challenging as the demands of caring for our nation’s children becomes intertwined with educating them.
For the sake of our teachers and future generations, it is vital to understand that while educators can greatly influence their students, our society plays a much larger role in how their lives will unfold.
Please share this essay with those who might feel seen and supported as teachers, educators, and caregivers.

I’m honored to have one of my essays, “Still Here”, chosen for the debut issue of Phil Lit Journal. It is overflowing with incredibly talented writers and poets.
